El World Pitch & Putt Tour (WPPT)<\/strong> da un paso m\u00e1s en su consolidaci\u00f3n internacional y presenta oficialmente su circuito 2026<\/strong>, una edici\u00f3n que confirma su crecimiento sostenido y su ambici\u00f3n global en su quinto a\u00f1o de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con un calendario formado por 8 pruebas en 8 pa\u00edses<\/strong>, el circuito recorrer\u00e1 Luxemburgo, Alemania, Noruega, Finlandia, Suiza, B\u00e9lgica, Portugal y Espa\u00f1a<\/strong>, llevando el Pitch & Putt a nuevos p\u00fablicos y reforzando su posicionamiento como una disciplina accesible, competitiva y cada vez m\u00e1s internacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la competici\u00f3n, el WPPT mantiene su ADN: crear experiencias. Cada evento combinar\u00e1 deporte y lifestyle, incorporando catas de vino de la bodega argentina Cinco Sentidos<\/strong>, aportando un toque diferencial que eleva la experiencia del jugador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s, los participantes podr\u00e1n descubrir y disfrutar del innovador simulador PhiGolf2<\/strong>, una apuesta por la tecnolog\u00eda aplicada al golf que tambi\u00e9n tendr\u00e1 protagonismo con el sorteo de una unidad entre todos los jugadores del circuito<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El gran objetivo estar\u00e1 en el horizonte: la Final del WPPT<\/strong>, que se disputar\u00e1 en marzo de 2027 en la Costa Daurada<\/strong>, uno de los destinos clave del proyecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los ganadores de cada pa\u00eds<\/strong> obtendr\u00e1n una invitaci\u00f3n exclusiva con alojamiento y greenfee incluidos<\/strong>, asegurando una final de m\u00e1ximo nivel y reforzando el car\u00e1cter internacional del circuito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este impulso no ser\u00eda posible sin el respaldo de Costa Daurada Turismo<\/strong>, patrocinador principal, que contin\u00faa apostando por el crecimiento del WPPT y por posicionar el territorio como un referente del turismo deportivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En su quinto a\u00f1o, el WPPT no solo crece en n\u00famero de pa\u00edses, sino tambi\u00e9n en impacto. El objetivo es claro: seguir expandiendo el Pitch & Putt a nivel global<\/strong>, conectando comunidades, generando nuevas oportunidades y profesionalizando la experiencia sin perder su esencia cercana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World Pitch & Putt Tour is the first global Pitch & Putt circuit that aims to take the sport of Pitch & Putt and its players to the highest possible level. We work closely with the International Pitch & Putt Federation (FIPPA) to promote and expand the sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural WPPT event was held in November 2021 at the Torre-Serona P&P course in Lleida. In a post-pandemic environment with limited movement, the WPPT was able to hold its event with more than 144 players of different nationalities: Spain, France, Andorra, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Ireland, and Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was broadcast live on the WPPT channels and on the regional sports channel Esport3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner of this first competition was a 16-year-old Catalan player named Alex Albinyana Jr., who took home a prize of \u20ac3,600. This was the largest prize ever awarded in the world of Pitch & Putt, with a total cash prize of \u20ac10,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, even with health measures in place, the WPPT was held on two P&P courses simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A situation that had never occurred in an international P&P tournament, as players had to play a round on one course, eat, and then play another round on another course with completely different conditions. The courses where the tournament was held were P&P Vendrell and P&P Costa Daurada, both in Tarragona. The final round was held at P&P Costa Daurada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The champion was 22-year-old Juan Luis Sanchez, who was able to withstand the final pressure from the rest of the players, most notably Mikael Lundberg, a three-time European Tour champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The championship had as a guest player, the then Spanish golf champion, Miss Mireia Prats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That same year, the WPPT wanted to pay special mention to two great individuals who have made a significant impact in the world of P&P by naming trophies in different WPPT categories after them. From that moment on, the Senior Trophy was renamed the "John Manning Trophy," and the women's trophy became the "Pilar Montero Trophy."  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, the WPPT was able to hold three tournaments, two of them in Catalonia and a third in the birthplace of Pitch & Putt, Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A unique experience enjoyed by many players, which helped him break the record for the best overall score by a champion. Damian Creevey achieved a total score of -27 strokes under par on the modified Ring Commons P&P course, adapted for the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A curious circumstance could be seen during the tournament celebration: the female winner, Ms. Pilar Montero, received the trophy that bears her own name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2023 also saw the first annual WPPT ranking, which was scored by adding up the best four game cards from any of the WPPT events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first champion was Mr. Alejandro Esmatges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 is the first year the WPPT kicks off in a big way, with events in Portugal, Catalonia, France, and Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year should mark the consecration of the WPPT, as well as a step closer to achieving the ultimate goal of creating a world Pitch & Putt circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work is already underway to bring the WPPT to Chile by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any Pitch & Putt player, regardless of their skill level, is welcome to participate in WPPT tournaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
